Peace Talks. Ultimately, Sanchez and Wenger could kiss, make up, the whole 9 yards.

The Gunners failed to finish outside the top four for the first time in 16 seasons but Arsene Wenger again pulled the Rabbit out of the hat by delivering the FA cup against Chelsea and is set to stay at least two more years.

Arsenal suffered new lows under Arsene wenger last season since the Frenchman took the reins in 1996; they lost four away games in a row and missed out on Europe’s elite club competition, had an abysmal record against the top eight teams in the league.

The red half of North London outfit have not won the league since the Invincibles in 2004 and two FA cup triumphs in three years have papered over some of the cracks. But this is unacceptable for a team that is only trailing historical teams Manchester United and Liverpool in silverware, their Achilles heel has always been against their fellow contenders and injuries to key players.

But after breaking the club’s transfer record to bring in Alexander Lacazette, the Emirates stadium outfit will be hoping he can fire them to their first league triumph in 13 years; but is this realistic ambition or will he be another flash in the pan to continue Arsenal’s woeful showing in the league. Or will his arrival spark the revival of the brand of attacking football has come to be known for, fast, furious and clinical –with the clinical touch having being missing since Robin Van Persie’s sale to United five seasons ago.

In my very candid opinion, Arsene’s attention should be on the Europa league as that’s the only competition they can challenge for silverware, this squad cannot challenge for the title and Alexis Sanchez might still exit, if they win the Europa league, it’s still a very good season to build on.
